Frequently asked questions

Kitchens:

  • As soon as you let us know of the damage or failure, we will have someone take a look at it and, if needed, we will come by to resolve the issue. We will schedule an appointment with you and strive to visit you within three workdays. Depending on the damage, we can either help you on site or we will take the part in question back to our workshop or return it to the manufacturer. We will then let you know the expected wait time. If the damage is not immediately repairable, we will try to arrange a temporary replacement of material or equipment. In unusual cases, this may not be possible. We will continue to keep each other informed.

  • No, that is not permitted. This sounds quite strict, but there is a reason for it. Still is specialised in maintaining and repairing the equipment and materials, because we have built them with care. We don’t question your home repair skills, but in order to limit that proverbial ‘from bad to worse’ as much as possible, we prefer to come by ourselves and relieve you of the task. This way, we ensure together that the kitchen lasts as long as possible.

  • If a situation occurs that is dangerous to your environment, or the repair is necessary to prevent worse damage, we advise you, of course, to do whatever is needed to prevent that. Contact us immediately thereafter, and in any emergency repairs, keep the circular concept in mind. Replacement of parts (materials and/or equipment) can only be made by Still.

If there is an urgent situation, for instance your sports team is heading over to your house for a dinner party, definitely call us to discuss it. If you’re unable to reach us, we request that you hold off on the repair until you’ve ad a chance to discuss it with Still.

  • The materials in the kitchen are of high quality and require some special attention in use and cleaning. We have put together a maintenance booklet with instructions for using and cleaning the kitchen and equipment. It includes, for instance, what sort of material you can – and cannot – use to clean the surfaces. To guarantee the kitchen’s long life, we ask you to follow these instructions and to make sure that whoever handles this for you follows the recommendations.

  • Accidents happen, and in a Still kitchen where you spend so much time, this is unavoidable. We completely understand this. Should damage unintentionally occur, we would like to know about it as soon as possible. You can share information and photos with us trough email or whatsapp. There is a good chance that we can fix the problem remotely. That can save even more unnecessary CO2 emission. If not, we will swing by to help in person. We will also try to determine whether the damage may be covered by your insurance.

  • If you are the first user, your kitchen will arrive newly manufactured from our workshop. If it is moved or replaced, your kitchen will then enter circulation. In the material passport, we show the origin of the materials as clearly as possible.

We try to reuse parts and equipment as much as possible. Defective appliances and parts are reallocated if possible, in cooperation with the suppliers.

  • Of course! Tell us what you want, and together we’ll see what’s possible. Bear in mind that there will be additional costs.

Subscription & Membership:

  • The minimal length of the membership is 5 years.

  • You can always quit but first let us have the conversation about the future.

  • A kitchen from Still is ‘forever yours’ but is not your property. It is important when selling your home to inform any potential buyer about the rental arrangement of the kitchen. You thereby avoid having someone buy your house with the assumption that the kitchen conveys with the house and becomes their property.

The new owner of the home can of course become a member and continue using the existing Still kitchen.  We would love that! In this case, any remaining rental period can be settled between you. These payments are then made either monthly or in one lump sum by the buyer after the transfer of the home.

And you? Do you remain a member? If the new owner wants a different kitchen, we can move your kitchen to your new home, with perhaps some adaptation. And if you want a whole new design, that’s also possible. We take into account that you are already a member, and we will present a good remodel or exchange proposal.

The buyer of my house does not want to take over the contract. How do we resolve this?

If the buyer does not want to become a member, we have two options. You remain a member and take your contract with you to your new home (see previous question), or you end your membership (see next question).

  • As soon as you have configurated your kitchen, we calculate the price you pay for use of the kitchen. The total amount is the rental cost. This amount can be paid in monthly instalments over a set period of time.

  • The service contract specifies that you can call us (or email/contact us through the app) for any defect or failure of the kitchen and equipment (hereafter: damage). The damage to the kitchen will be repaired or replaced by Still at no extra cost (beyond the monthly fee), as long as there is no indication of improper use or careless or negligent treatment. This includes any mishap that would not have occurred under normal use – for example, loading kitchen cabinets with excessive weight or placing a hot pan on a surface that is not heat-resistant, as well as the use of cleaning products that we advise against.

Circularity:

  • Reducing waste through high-quality kitchens with a long lifespan – this is Still’s mission. At Still we choose our suppliers carefully. Wherever possible, we choose the most durable and sustainable alternative. We are constantly searching for suppliers that embrace this movement and want to add their own contribution. Safeguarding circularity in all facets is a work in progress. If you would like to know more about supplier choices, you are welcome to contact us or consult our annual reports.

  • Our aim is a 100% circular kitchen. Circularity throughout the chain, from production to installation and relocation in every one of the kitchen’s parts and accessories. This is not yet the reality, but we are working every day to achieve this.

Still considers it important to include you in our circular aims. Our ambition is community-based. We provide annual reports on the goals and challenges we have achieved. We will also continuously challenge the other parties involved in the chain. These reports are always available to you.
